The most awaited weekend for lovers of sand volleyball is about to arrive, everything is ready for the starting whistle of the fourth edition of the Silvia nel Cuore tournament, organized by planetvolley.net. The organizers’ proposals will be multiple in the two days of Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June which has the Zocco Beach establishment in San Feliciano as its headquarters. In addition to the classic and inevitable 3×3 mixed sand volleyball event involving around one hundred and twenty athletes, there will be a walk in nature and a non-competitive cycle ride, without forgetting a playful moment dedicated to children.
Collateral events that want to highlight the character of a great sportswoman like Silvia Garzi who passed away prematurely in February 2021 due to an incurable disease. Her friends and family worked hard to renew the event that commemorates her and which serves to raise funds for charity. The registrations were even more numerous and it is estimated that they could involve around two hundred and fifty athletes, plus friends and family for an event that will touch the attendance record on the shores of Lake Trasimeno.
Registrations for the sand volleyball tournament have been completed for some time now, many registrations have also arrived for excursions on foot and on two wheels, but those who want will be able to join at the last minute independently. The enthusiasm that accompanied the organizing committee spread widely and the response from commercial partners was incredibly satisfying. An event organized with the collaboration of Club Freedance, Csi Perugia, Duelle Bike Trasimeno, Lake Bike, Pianeta Volley, Trasimeno Outdoor and Zocco Beach, and which aims to support the non-profit organization Aucc (Umbrian Association for the fight against cancer) and the his project ‘Adopt a Researcher’ and the Vivo a colori association. Play will begin early in the morning on Saturday and the matches will continue until sunset, when after the dance performance there will be a magnificent aperitif organized by the Trasimeno Fishermen’s Inn in the company of the musical group The SunRise. Sunday is very rich with walking, cycling, children’s green volleyball and SUP practice, activities for which gadgets are provided for all participants.
