The Italian territory will soon be invaded by many low cost motorbikes, which will change the balance of the market. Here are all the details.
The current decade, in addition to being influenced by climate change and the resulting ecological transition, is full of very low-cost cars and motorcycles. The so-called “low cost” vehicles are in fact progressively expanding its national and continental dominion. The major motorcycle manufacturers, which annually produce models characterized by an excellent quality-price ratio, reside mainly in China. Xi Jinping’s government is in fact trying to help its companies financially, so that they can reduce list prices.
To rebalance the market, the European Union therefore decided to impose duties on vehicles imported from China. However, it is still possible to obtain huge economic savings, especially in the motorcycle sector.
Low cost motorbikes, here are the opportunities not to be missed
One of the best-known Chinese motorcycle manufacturers, especially for low-cost motorcycles, is QJ Motor. The latter, which is a company controlled by Geely Holding Group, recently launched a dream naked bike: the SRK 550. Before starting the description of the vehicle, it must be remembered that the QJ Motors arrive in Italy thanks to the Volta Tech company, which is the importer and distributor of the Chinese brand. The new SRK 550 jewel, which is an adventure for 5,850 euros, therefore presents itself with a length of 2,100 mm, with a width of 868 mm and finally with a height of 1,156 mm. It also has a 554 cc 2-cylinder thermal engine, capable of releasing 61 horsepower at 8,500 rpm.
The gearbox is mechanical with 6 speeds. Another great novelty, which will soon arrive in Italy too, is the QJ Motor SRT 550 SX. The latter is a naked bike costing 5,290 euros, also made up of a 554 cc 2-cylinder combustion engine, which delivers 61 horsepower at 8,500 rpm. Its dimensions are instead the following: 2,186 x 883 x 1,425 mm. This extraordinary Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, which never ceases to amaze, has also announced the arrival of two other models: the SRK 550 RS and the SRK 800 RR.
The first is a sports motorbike costing 6,690 euros, characterized by a length of 2,090 mm, a width of 770 mm and finally a height of 1,155 mm. Its twin-cylinder engine, which releases 61 horsepower at 8,500 rpm, has a displacement of 554 cc and liquid cooling. In any case, the most anticipated motorcycle of all is the SRK 800 RR, since it is a super sports car made up of a 4-cylinder engine, capable of delivering 102 horsepower at 10,000 rpm. Its list price starts from 8,800 euros.
