Two days after his debut at Euro2024 against Austria, the Milan full-back and vice-captain Theo Hernandez he spoke at the press conference touching on several topics, one of which is the one that most interests AC Milan fans, his future.

“I have improved a lot, especially on the defensive aspect. When I arrived at Milan I wasn’t very focused on that. It’s improving. The offensive aspect is better.”
IBRAHIMOVIC’S WORDS ON THEO
On the many market rumors and the possible farewell of some big names, Zlatan Ibrahimovic made it clear in the press conference: “Maignan, Theo and also Leao remain. They are among the strongest players in their role and have contracts with us. They are happy, we don’t need to sell. Thanks to the work of the last two years we have the possibility to bring strong players and improve. The team that won the championship was not the favorites and was not as competitive as today. Today is the second year where we have laid the foundation: it’s more about the details.”
Are the financial requests of Maignan and Theo compatible for a short-term renewal?
“In Mike and Theo’s situation everything is possible. Then I don’t know about their requests, maybe you know more than me. You look at the situation and evaluate it. Then everything is possible. Since RedBird came in the results are positive and it gives us the possibility of expanding more and doing more economically. There is the transfer market that can be done, the under 23s, the Primavera, the jobs here at Milanello. Then all this gives you the opportunity to do all these things if someone comes to me and tells me they don’t want to be here anymore it’s a problem: anyone who doesn’t have ambition shouldn’t be here. But Mike and Theo are very happy, they’ve made history and they must continue to make it.”
