Good morning and welcome to LIVE textual LIVE of the Pre-Olympic archery tournament. In Antalya (Turkey) the trio of the women’s team is playing their last chances of qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics after the disappointment of the European Championships.
Lucilla Boari, Chiara Rebagliati and Tatiana Andreoli will be competing with 37 other teams and will compete for 4 Olympic passes. In fact, all the semi-finalists will obtain the pass for the Games which will be held from the end of July in the transalpine capital. The Italians are among the favorites for a place in the semi-finals like the Asian teams, namely China, Taipei, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Vietnam and India. Among the Europeans, pay attention to Great Britain, Türkiye, Spain and Ukraine, but watch out for possible outsiders.
There will be a further opportunity to secure participation in the Olympics. Also in Antalya, in a week’s time during the World Cup stage, the rankings will be updated, and the best team among those still without a pass will be promoted to the Games.
