The World Championship continues and Red Bull, after a small phase of confusion, seems to have become competitive again and ready to get everyone back in line. Both Leclerc and Sainz, in the end, had to capitulate with an unexpected double retirement for the Maranello cars.

It’s about Helmut Marko, a leading figure in Red Bull and strategic advisor to the world champion team, a figure very close to Max Verstappen. Marko is 81 years old, certainly not an easy age to face sudden health problems, especially if we’re talking about Covid.
That’s right, on the sidelines of the Monaco GP, Marko contracted the virus which made him go through some very difficult hours. He revealed it himself to ‘Oe24’: “After the Monte Carlo weekend I was very down in the dumps, I had Covid and I couldn’t even speak“.
Once the scare passed, Marko joined the team in Montreal even though the hours he spent due to the virus were very unpleasant. For him, therefore, Max Verstappen’s victory had a double value after the battle he won with the virus: “The victory came thanks to what I call the Max factor, only he knows how to press on the accelerator when necessary. Furthermore, our team chose the right strategy.”
It was therefore Verstappen who brought a smile back to Marko who, at his age, cannot help but fear for his health. Especially if there is an ever treacherous virus involved that needs to be faced and eradicated. Fortunately, everything turned out positively.
