No gifts | Commisso, two spades from the big streak: he doesn’t want to return the favor

Commisso did everything to convince the club but in the end he had to give up: the big club doesn’t want to give up its champion. That’s who it is.

Vincenzo Italiano recently signed with Bologna, and he will therefore be Thiago Motta’s heir on the bench of the Emilians, the one who will have the task of helping the team to face the Champions League groups in the best possible way.

Italian left Fiorentina after three very intense years, in which he managed to revive the Viola, who had been in a constant sporting crisis for years before his arrival, transforming it into a competitive team, capable of reaching twice in a row in the Conference League final.

His detractors, however, judge his experience at Fiorentina negatively, stating that the Italian has proven incapable of managing big matches, and having lost two European finals in a row for simply incomprehensible tactical choices.

Criticisms which, however, are far too ungenerous, because the coach can certainly still improve in some aspects, but at the same time, we are talking about a coach which has always achieved the required results in every club he coached, and who brought Fiorentina back to starring seasons.

Palladino’s new challenge at Fiorentina

In its place, Commisso chose Raffaele Palladino, who in the last two seasons with Monza has proven to be one of the most promising emerging Italian coaches, with a game that is also very similar to that practiced by Italian.

The Viola therefore want to continue to grow and Commisso has never hidden his ambition to gradually make Florence a protagonist again in the football that matters. However, there will be a need to make an important transfer market in the summer, also because the club has gaps in some departments, starting with the offensive one.

Commisso tries for Arnautovic: Inter’s response

In fact, since Vlahovic’s departure, the team has no longer succeeded to find a striker who was truly decisive. Hopes in this sense were placed last season in the purchase of the young Argentine Beltran who, however, did not live up to expectations. This is why Commisso had decided to focus heavily on a highly experienced striker from our Serie A, albeit unfortunately the negotiation does not seem destined to be successful.

In fact, the Viola were very interested in Arnautovic, considered the perfect profile to bring experience to the squad and help Palladino have an important season in Florence. However, it seems that Inter have currently closed any possibility for a negotiation and consider Arnautovic currently untransferable, seen as the perfect backup for Lautaro and Thuram.
