In the first two days of the European Athletics Championships Italy has already reached double figures in medals, 10, half of which are gold. The hope is to increase this glorious haul on Sunday, which will see many Italians competing, including the debut of Gianmarco Tamberi and Filippo Tortu.
Sunday 9 June, the Italians competing
The third day will begin with the half marathon, first the men’s race and followed by the women’s race, with a fascinating panorama of the streets of Rome. Hopes projected above all on the Italian record holder Yeman Crippa. The debut will be on the track Gimbo Tamberiinvolved in the high jump qualifiers in the morning with the final scheduled for Tuesday 11th. There is also great anticipation for Zaynab Dosso in the women’s 100 meters e Ludovica Cavalli in the 1500m, while in the semi-final of the men’s 200m the spotlight was on Philip Tortu And Fausto Desalu.
