Hyundai Inster Official: The Electric Is A Small SUV

At the Busan International Mobility Show 2024, Hyundai unveiled the highly anticipated Inster. The compact SUV is one of the most anticipated exponents in the electric market segment under 25,000 euros, a market segment that is becoming populated with many solutions.

With the Inster, Hyundai aims to provide a comfortable car despite its small size. Without neglecting the design aspect and the technology on board.

There is also the Long Range version: the autonomy exceeds 350 km

Hyundai Inster will be offered in two versions, the standard one and the Long Range one.

Inside the standard version there is a 71 kW engine, with maximum torque of 147 Nm, maximum speed of 140 km/h and acceleration 0-100 km/h in 11.7 seconds. The battery is 42 kWh, with an estimated range of over 300 km.

The Long Range version, in addition to having a better battery (49 kWh with 355 km of autonomy), can also count on a slightly more powerful engine. Power rises to 84.5 kWh, with maximum torque of 147 Nm, maximum speed which rises to 150 km/h and acceleration 0-100 km/h which takes 10.6 seconds.

Both versions support fast DC charging up to 120 kW, which translates into a 30-minute charge to increase autonomy from 10 to 80%.

Hyundai Inster is also compatible with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technologythat is, the car has the ability to supply power to external devices. It will be possible, for example, to recharge an e-bike or a scooter via the car.

Length under 4m, but interior space is abundant

The aesthetic appearance is that of a small SUV, and derives directly from the petrol Casper sold in Korea. Inster is one of the few cars to stay under 4m (3.82m in length), while retaining a load capacity of up to 351 litres.

Among the elements of interest, the use of clean and essential surfaces, the robust mudguards, the bumper with a technological design inspired by electronic circuits and a very visible protection plate.

The most characteristic aspect, however, is that of the LED light signature of the daytime running lights, which combines well with the pixel graphics of the direction indicators.

Moving on to the interior, the two 10.25-inch screens dedicated to infotainment and a digital instrument panel stand out. In the center of the console we also have a wireless charging base for smartphones. Other interesting features include the 64-color LED ambient lighting, the sunroof and the Hyundai Digital Key 2 Touch, which uses NFC technology to open and close the car.

Interiors that, compatible with the dimensions of the car, aim to offer space and versatility. All seats, including the driver’s, can be folded down and stowed, and the rear seats are divided in half. Both for the exterior and interior Hyundai has used sustainable materials.

It arrives in Italy at the end of the year

Considering that we are talking about an A segment, the sector of advanced driver assistance systems is rich. These include lane keeping, blind spot monitoring, detection of a vehicle behind when making a maneuver and the intelligent speed adaptation system.

On the subject of parking aids, in addition to the front and rear sensors, we point out the presence of the rear camera, designed to guarantee the best possible visibility.
