Bad weather hinders the rehearsals
The first two sessions of Free Practice for the Canadian Grand Prix they took place as expected, at least from a meteorological point of view. After a long interruption due to the bad weather especially in PL1, even in PL2 there was no shortage of precipitation, with the rain messing up the teams’ plans while waiting for qualifying.

The seven-time world champion, 4th in FP1 and 7th in the following test, expressed very positive comments on the behavior of the W15: “I felt great today. Saturdays have proven to be busier for us recently, but I feel confident and the car reacts to my inputs. Ultimately, we won’t know until tomorrow afternoon where we are in the order, but today was a really positive day“.
Russell postpones to PL3
His teammate, however, is more cautious George Russellespecially in view of the qualifications scheduled for 10pm Italian time: “Today was fun – he explained after 2nd place in PL2 – was difficult to draw many lessons for the rest of the weekend, because with each lap the conditions changed. First it rained, then it dried, then it rained again! Overall I felt the car was good, but only tomorrow we will be able to know our position compared to the others. Today, however, I had confidence in the car and felt confident the entire time. In PL3, there is usually a lot of focus on qualifying performance. However, tomorrow we will also have to evaluate our race pace. We will need to be very clear about the changes to be made before qualifying. In all honesty, today no driver or team has learned much. Tomorrow, though, the weather could be similar, so it will be interesting.”
