Zhang leaves some serious consequences in his management of Inter, for Oaktree there are problems to solve
The change of ownership at the top of Inter has officially happened, with Suning handing over the reins of the club to the American fund Oaktree, called to confirm the competitiveness of the Nerazzurri in the season just concluded which coincided with the conquest of the Second Star with a championship dominated since from the first day.
The sports director Beppe Marotta represents a guarantee from which to start again and to take advantage of in order to plan a purchasing campaign that is as similar as possible to the tactical requests of Mr. Simone Inzaghi.
Two strikers are needed to give the starting pair a breather, which will always be made up of captains Lautaro Martinezwho is currently finalizing his contract renewal, and by Marcus Thuram.
In defence, however, the need for a new center back and a wingman in place of the starter was put forward Dutch winger Dumfries which is in the sights of some Premier League clubs.
Not everyone is in favor of the change of ownership at Inter
The Mediaset commentator spoke to the microphones of Radio Sportiva Sandro Sabatini responded to the detractors of Inter’s change of ownership from Oaktree to Zhang by expressing his positive opinion regarding the new fund.
These are his words: “The only thing, if desired, that can perhaps be discussed but I don’t think so, is that in any case Oaktree made it known that if Inter was still alive in 2021 it is because there was this loan. Some say that the company’s continuity was in doubt at the time of joining the championship. But I think they are just somewhat sterile discussions and quibbles“.
Inter risks penalizing points, Sabatini’s words
Zhang pays the price not having respected the agreements: “As all fans must realize, there was a loan. And those who took advantage of the loan were unable to pay it back. It’s as if they gave me the money to buy the car, I couldn’t pay back the loan and I gave the car back: that’s what Steven Zhang did.”
Sabatini is said against possible penalisation: “It was Zhang’s assets, not Inter’s: I don’t understand why he should pay the club with penalty points. It’s a distorted view even on the part of Inter fans: have a parade with an open bus, because Oaktree saved Inter. It’s not that he took it from Zhang that he was a great president” concluded the Mediaset sports journalist.
