Tour of the Dauphiné, 1st stage in Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule: route, favorites and where to see it on TV

Starts today Dauphiné Tour, the French eight-stage race at the end of which there will be a good basis for evaluating the riders in view of the Tour de France. Here are the details of the first fraction that will depart and arrive at Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule.

Today’s stage will take place in the heart of France, not far from Vichy. It will immediately present itself with some GPM climbs: the first will be after just 17.5 kilometers of racing and it will be the Cote de Jenzat (1500 meters at 6.3%). After the descent you will immediately go up towards the Gpm di Cote de Gennat (2.4 kilometers at 6.3%) then between the summit and the next Gpm there will be around twenty kilometres. We will then face it Cote de Chouvigny (2.4 kilometers at 7.9%) and then, after the descent, 1300 meters at 4.8%. There will then be the flying finish line of Chantelle and around 30 undulating kilometers to enter the circuit which involves passing under the finishing line and a 600 meter climb at 6.4% to be repeated twice.

Most likely, the first leader of the Tour of the Dauphiné will be decided with a sprint.
