Two victories and one defeat on the first day for the Azzurri playing in France
ItalSeven: the results of the 1st day of the Haguenau tournament – Ph. Sebastiano Pessina
ItalSeven closed the first day of the Haguenau tournament with two useful results out of three. The team led by the Mazzantini/Galgani duo collected two victories and one defeat in overtime in the three games played on Saturday 1 June.
In the first match with New Zealand Seven Development the Azzurri ended regulation time 19-19. The New Zealand marking gave the Pacific selection a 24-19 success.
Italy beat Germany 32-5 in the second match and Poland 34-0 in the third match. The last two matches with Belgium and Pacific will be held on Sunday 2 June.
After the French tournament, Italy will play in Croatia from 7 to 9 June, in Makarshka, for the first stage of the Rugby Europe Seven Championship Series 2024. Subsequently the Italian group will move to Hamburg to play the second stage from 28 to 30 June of the European circuit.
