Sinner-Moutet at 8.15pm at Roland Garros: the programme

Sunday evening with Jannik Sinner. The Italian number 1 will return to the field for the round of 16 of Roland Garros in the evening session on the Philippe Chatrier: as already happened in the second round, against Richard Gasquet, the Italian will challenge a French player on the most important field of the Stade Roland Garros . Sinner’s rival will be Corentin Moutet, with whom there is no precedent: the transalpine player will play for the second time in his career in the round of 16 in a Slam, the first in Paris.

Sunday will be a great day for Italian tennis: two out of four matches, among those scheduled on Chatrier, will have an Italian protagonist. Before Sinner, in fact, it will be Elisabetta Cocciaretto’s turn, engaged in the second match of the day against Coco Gauff, seeded number 3: a thrilling challenge for the player from Ancona, who is experiencing a dream tournament in Paris. The world number 1 will open the day on the central court at 11: Iga Swiatek will challenge Anastasia Potapova. While in the third match, between Cocciaretto and Sinner, it will be Carlos Alcaraz’s turn against Felix Auger-Aliassime.

arnaldi against tsitsi

Interesting program also on Suzanne Lenglen, the other pitch with a roof and therefore sheltered from the rain. The day will be inaugurated by the surprise Olga Danilovic and Marketa Vondrousova, reigning Wimbledon champion: once the match is over, it will be Matteo Arnaldi’s turn, called to give a great performance against Stefanos Tsitsipas. To follow, Jabeur-Tauson and Hurkacz-Dimitrov are scheduled: whoever wins this last match could find Sinner in the quarter-finals. Also watch out for the doubles matches: protagonists Bolelli/Vavassori (second match on court 7 against Matos/Melo), Cocciaretto/Trevisan (fourth match on court 6 against Bogdan/Cristian) and Errani/Paolini, engaged in the third match on court 4 against Linette/Pear. All matches will be broadcast on Eurosport and Discovery+.
