New possible exclusion from the next Champions League. The indiscretion makes the fans tremble, what is happening
The new one is taking shape, waiting for the last qualified teams Champions League 2024/25. Inter, Milan, Bologna and Juventus are already sure of a place, for Italy only the last slot is missing and the verdict of Atalanta-Bayer Leverkusen which could even qualify six clubs.
In the meantime, however, the fans are trembling Girona. The Spanish club would risk not playing the next edition of the Champions League: according to what was reported by the ‘Times’, UEFA would have asked the owners of Manchester City to sell part of their stake in the Catalan club if both want to compete in the top European competition.
If the City Football Group did not reduce Girona’s ownership shares below 30% (compared to the current 47%), Michel’s team would not be able to play the Champions League, thus slipping into Europa League after the historic qualification achieved on the field this season. Further developments are now awaited.
