The “Pagine di bene” initiative returns for the 2024-’25 school year, in memory of Andrea Raineri.
The project is aimed at raising funds to be allocated to the city’s middle schools for the purchase of books to support students in financial difficulty. It was promoted by the family of the former councilor who died suddenly in January 2019, and a group of friends: “It is important to believe in culture as a means of building a better society”, they say.
Anyone who wants to participate in the initiative must simply leave an offer at the Coppo bookshop, in via Galileo Ferraris 70, or at the Sant’Andrea bookshop, piazza Guala Bicheri 1. «In the previous edition, in September 2023, 500 euros were made available for each institution in the city – say the promoters -. Heartfelt thanks to all the people who participated, in particular to our friends Andrea and Erica, to the teacher Giovanna Carenzo, who donated her retirement gift, to the Camerata Ducale, to the parishioners of the Capuchins and a special thanks to the friends of the Lions Club. We thank the two bookshops, not only for their great availability, but also for the effective collaboration implemented by applying a discount on purchases made by the schools”.
