Descriptive text here

Three series still to be decided at the end of Game 2.

Basket Roma impacts the series with Basket Girls Ancona and postpones everything to Game 3 thanks to the 49-55 victory in Game 2. After Aghilarre’s triple that opens the match, Ancona responds immediately with a 6-0 run entirely scored by Yusuf . Roma took the lead again with Fantini, Lucantoni and Aghilarre, but the first quarter saw both teams in difficulty from an offensive point of view and after ten minutes the score was 11-11. Both teams, first Roma then Ancona, start the quarter with a 5-0 run, but for the Marche team those five points will be the only ones scored in the quarter. In fact, Ancona remained without a goal for over seven and a half minutes and Roma took advantage of the situation to find a 0-11 partial which allowed them to go into the long half-time score at 16-27. Lucantoni finds three triples in the first five minutes of the game upon returning to the pitch and this allows Roma to reach +17 (20-37). Ancona tries to get closer, but never goes beyond -11 and after a 17-17 run in the third quarter the home team is still 11 down after thirty minutes (33-44). In the first half of the last quarter Roma seemed to have the momentum of the match in their hands, but the situation changed in the last four minutes. Malintoppi’s triple brings Ancona to -7 (44-51) and opens an 8-1 run that brings Ancona back up to -3 (49-52) with thirty seconds on the clock. However, on the other side, Manocchio immediately extinguished the dreams of the Marche team and closed the match with a triple with a score of 49-55. Lucantoni is the top scorer of the match with 19 points, with Roma scoring an excellent 44% from beyond the arc and will have the chance to secure salvation in front of their fans.

Pallacanestro Vigarano ends its season with safety thanks to the 71-64 victory over Torino Teen Basket. Colli opens Game 2 with five consecutive points and Torino is the first to attempt an escape in the first quarter, flying up to +8 (8-16). Vigarano tries to get closer with a 6-0 run within a minute, but at the first siren Torino is still ahead, with the score 16-20. Torino tries to escape to +6 with Jankovic’s free throws, but Siciliano immediately halves the deficit with the triple (19-22). However, Turin responds with a partial of 2-9 which allows them to go +10 for the first time (21-31), but Vigarano reacts immediately. The Emilian team found four triples in two minutes and thanks to a 14-0 run they immediately took the lead again (35-31). Colli and Giangrasso unlocked Turin and thanks to them the two teams went into the long break with a score of 35 all. Thanks to two more triples in the space of two and a half minutes, Vigarano tries to escape at +5 (43-38), but with Giangrasso and the free throws, Torino regains parity at 45. The two teams remain close for the rest of the quarter, with neither of them managing to go beyond +4, the gap on which the quarter ends (55-51). Vigarano gets to +9 at the beginning of the last period and in fact it is at that moment that she mortgages the match, as she no longer allows her opponents to put their heads back in front. In fact, Turin tries to make a comeback up to -2 (66-64), but Cutrupi and Siciliano make it 5-0 which closes the match at 71-64. Siciliano is the top scorer of the match with 24 points, to which she also adds 11 assists. Adriana Cutrupi had a double double with 18 points and 16 rebounds, with Vigarano shooting 40% from beyond the arc. Turin surrenders to the Emilians and waits for the winner of the match between Roma and Ancona to discover its opponent in the second playout round.

Dimensione Bagno Carugate reopens the games in the series against Solmec Rovigo thanks to the 82-73 victory. Carugate immediately tries to take the lead with a 5-0 run in eighteen seconds, which is the prelude to a quarter in which the attacks are in great shape. Rovigo returns to parity with five consecutive points from Bonivento and thanks to the number 11 he also manages to put his head in front for the first time in the match (12-14). However, Carugate responds immediately with a run of 15-2 which brings it to +11 (22-14). In the final minutes of the quarter Rovigo tries to get closer and closes the period at 27-20. Carugate manages to defend its lead in the first part of the quarter, but then suffers a comeback attempt from its opponents. Zanetti with a triple inaugurates the partial of 0-9 which brings the guests back up to -2 (39-37). The Lombards responded with a 4-0 run, which allowed them to go to the long break with a score of 43-37. Rulli’s free throws bring Carugate up +8 (45-37). The lead exceeds double figures thanks to two triples from Albanelli and one from Usuelli in less than two minutes (54-42), but Rovigo once again reacts and with Viviani and Zanetti gets back up to -4 (54-50). The Venetian team always remains in contact and after thirty minutes they are eight down, with a score of 64-56. Nespoli immediately brings his team to +10 at the start of the fourth period, but once again Rovigo responds and this time it does so with a partial of 0-10 in just under a minute and a half, bringing the match back to a draw at 66. two teams remain in contact for the entire quarter and two minutes from the end Carugate is +3 (76-73). From that moment on, however, Rovigo was no longer able to find the way to the basket, while the home team remained clear and thanks to a 6-0 run they closed the match at 82-73. Sara Zanetti’s 30 points are not enough for the Venetians, because on the other side there are four players in double figures, with Tarkovicova scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Carugate takes advantage of the opponents’ 26 turnovers and postpones the discussion of salvation until this weekend.

Tecnoengineering Moncalieri impacts the series with Velcofin Interlocks Vicenza thanks to a match dominated from the start and won with a score of 70-58. Moncalieri opens the quarter in great shape, finding good continuity in the offensive phase and trying the first escape at 9-5. Vicenza scores at 10, but from that moment remains without a score for over two and a half minutes, time in which Moncalieri scores a 13-0 run that takes them to 23-10. Pellegrini tries to unblock him from the line, but Landi’s basket sends the teams to the first break at 31-17. Vicenza opens the quarter with a 0-5 run which allows them to get back under the double-digit deficit (31-22), but with Mitreva and Giordano Moncalieri they immediately return to +14. The home team even reaches +17 with Landi’s basket (42-25), before Pellegrini and Bevolo send everyone to a long break at 44-30. The third period is not very different from the previous one, in fact Moncalieri manages to defend his advantage without Vicenza ever managing to actually get closer. The home team also reaches +18 (60-42), before Struma’s basket closes the third quarter at 60-44. In the final period the home team had nothing to do but defend its lead, and without any major difficulties it closed at 70-58. Mitreva is the top scorer of the match with 15 points, followed by 14 from Cicic and Giordano, with Moncalieri shooting 50% from three points. Appointment at the weekend for salvation.
