Rugby Gubbio: congratulations to Romagna RFC for the wonderful performance
On the Cesena pitch Romagna RFC demonstrated why they are first in the standings.
Technique, organization, effectiveness, Romagna gave an extraordinary lesson in rugby.
The Gubbio Rugby Wolves, courageous as always, did not hold back and for 80 minutes, perhaps even more, they defended, tackled, went to the ground and got up, and again tackles, pushing, supporting, advancing .
The final result was merciless, 88-0, with 14 tries scored.
A day of great rugby, finished with an excellent third half, congratulations Romagna, thank you!
Coach McDonnell’s words after the match: “This is a high level team, my compliments to Romagna. They will be in Serie A next and have shown a game of the highest caliber.
We never gave up and playing against such a strong team is always a great experience both for the team and for each player individually. The boys gave 100% and left no stone unturned on the pitch, so I’m satisfied. It’s part of our growth in Serie B. We remain in Serie B because we grew a lot during the season and played well.”

Now for Rugby Gubbio, thanks to the mathematical salvation obtained with three days to go, they have to face, at home, the last match of the Championship, Saturday 4 May in Gubbio, 3.30 pm, against Jesi.

Good news instead from Ancona, where the U18 Centauri beat the Unione Rugbistica Anconitana 28-24 after a hard-fought match until the end.
