★VIDEO★ Is called Lucretia, one month old, the smallest participant in the 2024 edition procession in honor of San Simplicio. His father Emmanuel he held her in his arms for the entire route of the procession starting from the basilica (You will see it in the video at the bottom of the article).

The intense day dedicated to the patron saint of Olbia and the diocese of Tempio-Ampurias began shortly after 5.30 in the morning with the Felicino Mibelli musical band which woke up the city by playing in the streets of Olbia for the traditional “Diana”. Followed by the outdoor holy mass officiated by bishop Roberto Fornaciari and then, in the afternoon, the most awaited moment: the solemn procession. So many people flocked to the edges of the streets of the route and waited for the statue of the saint to pass preceded by folk groups, choirs, musical bands, representatives of various associations and civil authorities.

With the religious procession, the return of the statue to the basilica carried on the shoulders for the entire route by 16 men of the Olbia Folk Group (8 per shift) and, following, the folklore review on the stage set up in the churchyard, it was the six days of “Sa festa manna de mesu maju” officially closed. Also for this edition the rich calendar of events was organized by the volunteers of San Simplicio committee during a year of work. Below is Olbianova’s video ⬇️
