Noemi and Ermal Meta are the hosts of the 2024 edition of the Rome May Day Concert, promoted by CGIL, CISL and UIL and organized by iCompany, which this year is held at the Circo Massimo.
Both established artists, they have performed on the Concertone stage several times in their careers (Noemi in 2012, 2015, 2020 and 2021 and Ermal Meta in 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021), but this year for the first time they will try their hand at the role of presenters of an event that aims to reflect the current affairs of the Italian musical panorama.
They are joined by BigMama, who will present the first part of the Concertone, a feisty artist who, since her first performance on the Roman stage (2022), has increasingly climbed the music charts.
“My happiness is immense, I am honored to lead such an important party, made up of music and sharing. I have attended the Concertone many times, first among the crowd as a child and then on stage as a singer. Taking the stage on May Day since hosting in a location like the Circus Maximus in our splendid Rome is a great emotion”, said Noemi.
“It is a great emotion and responsibility to go on stage at May Day, this time also as host. I am happy with this new adventure, especially because I will share it with Noemi, a woman and an artist who I have always respected”, adds Ermal Meta.
As always, the Concertone will be free to enter and will be broadcast live on Rai 3 and Rai Radio 2 from 3.15pm to 12.15am and broadcast on RaiPlay and Rai Italia.
On May 1st 2024 there will also be a live preview hosted by BigMama and exclusively for Rai Play, starting at 1.15pm.
