Joseph Quinn promises big things for Fantastic 4 and Kevin Feige rides the wave of enthusiasm to announce the start date of filming (and beyond).
“We will start filming at the end of July – Feige revealed during the first episode of The Official Marvel Podcast – the day after San Diego Comic-Con will be the first day of filming for the Fantastic 4“. The event dedicated to comics and multi-genre entertainment will end on July 28th, so we can place the start of filming of the Fantastic 4 on July 29th. But the production start calendar is not the only good news that comes directly by the president of Marvel Studios.
Taking a look at the promotional posters of the Fantastic Four, in fact, fans had put forward the hypothesis that Matt Shakman’s new film was set in the 1960s in an alternate universe and Feige couldn’t help but compliment the fandom: “Many intelligent people noticed that that cityscape did not exactly resemble the New York we know or that existed in the 1960s in our world. These are intelligent observations, I would say.” In short, at the moment we have no confirmation that Fantastic 4 is set in the Multiverse but these statements seem to orient the film’s setting in an alternative universe.

But there is still a big question surrounding Fantastic 4: will the villains of the first family also appear?
