how Hiro Mashima’s manga ends

It was June 27, 2018 when Hiro Mashima, author already known throughout the world for the Fairy Tail series, launched the first chapter of his new sci-fi work on the pages of Weekly Shonen Magazine: Edens Zero and exactly 6 years later the last chapter of Shiki Granbell’s space adventure has arrived.

Had been anticipated by the Kodansha publishing house and by Mashima himself for some time now, but when a work that has been able to entertain millions of readers, also receiving an animated transposition by the JC Staff studio, ends it is always a significant moment, even in the career of a manga artist who has now had years and years of work behind.

Chapter 293 arrived in Weekly Shonen Magazine on June 26, 2024 and took fans several years into the future, with a time jump, to when Shiki has returned to the planet Grabell, and we see a pregnant Rebecca going into labor. All of the protagonist’s friends and allies, except for Pino, arrive to celebrate the arrival of the unborn child.

However, Pino is contacted by Mother, who promises to make her alive again, proposing that she reincarnate as Shiki’s daughter. Pino, however, refuses and asks to return to his android form. While Shiki, Rebecca and their friends celebrate the arrival of the baby, Pino also arrives on the scene, surprising everyone and leaving the readers with a wonderful final table dedicated to Edens Zero.

Don’t worry, though, as Mashima has already confirmed big news for the future, and we remind you that a Fairy Tail one-shot story will arrive to celebrate the release of the 100 Years Quest anime.

They are What fun! It is one of the best sellers today.
