The release of the trailer for Gladiator 2 has been revealed, which will finally show the general public the spectacular action sequences created by Ridley Scott for the sequel.
The anticipation for the arrival of the is growing Gladiator 2 trailer and finally Collider provides us with some certainty about the exit. According to what was anticipated by the magazine, the first trailer for Ridley Scott’s sequel will be released in mid-July along with Deadpool & Wolverine which, in Italians, will arrive on July 24th.
Gladiator 2an ambitious production shot largely in Central Europe on location, you see Paul Mescal in the role of the new protagonist, the now adult Lucius Verus, nephew of Commodus (played by Joaquin Phoenix in the original film). Lucius has been living “in the desert” for 15 years and his reappearance will cause quite a stir. In addition to Mescal, the cast includes Oscar winner Denzel Washington as a former slave who has become a rich and powerful merchant while Joseph Quinn is the new emperor, Caracalla. Pedro Pascal plays a former military commander forced to enter the arena to fight as a gladiator after disobeying orders. From the original film we find Connie Nielsen and Derek Jacobi in the respective roles of Lucilla, Lucius’ mother, and Senator Gracchus.

The star is at the center of the film Russell Crowe as Maximus Decimus Meridius, a loyal Roman general betrayed by Commodus, the corrupt son of Emperor Marcus Aurelius. After his family is murdered, Maximus is enslaved and becomes a gladiator, but uses his skills and charisma to rise through the ranks, inspiring others as he goes looking for revenge. His ultimate goal is to confront Commodus and restore justice to Rome.
