We’re now at the six-week countdown to the release of Deadpool & Wolverine and, as of this writing, Marvel Studios has yet to share an official photo of Hugh Jackman wearing theiconic costume of the clawed mutant.
We’ve seen plenty of images of the actor in his suit, and the mask has been heavily featured in promotional images and merchandise, such as upcoming Hot Toys action figures and Funko Pops. For some reason, though, it hasn’t been shown yet in a TV commercial or in an official photo.
While fans fear the actor will only wear the costume for one or two scenes, it was recently reported that he will do so for at least 10 minutes of screen time. It’s better than nothing, but because Wolverine will finally put on his suit colored in the threequel?

The reason for the classy costume
According to scooper MyTimeToShineH, Cyclops and the X-Men they repeatedly asked Wolverine to wear the uniform (to better fit in with the team), but he he always refused.
However, when this variant of Logan has somehow failed the X-Men – presumably causing their deaths – he decides it’s his responsibility to wear it after being called back into action by Deadpool.
The fact that Wolverine wears the costume to pay tribute to his teammates fallen would be even more interesting than the fact that it was simply a suit made for him by the TVA (which is the prevailing theory so far).
“We’re almost there carefully recreated the costume comics for Wolverine“, Jackman recently recalled. “But from the moment I put it on, I said to myself, ‘How did we not do this?’ It felt so right. I thought, ‘It’s him.’ There are different sides of Wolverine that we’ve never seen first in movies. He was exciting to me… It’s great for Deadpool to have someone punch him in the face“, concluded the actor.
