In the most adult panel ever of the Disney at CinemaConin addition to the hilarious vulgarities of Deadpool & Wolverine, the studio also shocked those present with the bloody and disturbing presentation of Alien: Romulus.

During the presentation at CinemaCon, director Fede Alvarez and producer Ridley Scott (who showed the first preview scenes of Gladiator 2 during the Paramount panel) sent a message and introduced a special first look at Alien: Romulus.

The video starts with two young girls discovering a dead body. Another team member, a man, is inspecting the area around the ship, surrounded by eggs: a new technology tool shows that there is a light that can see through body parts, highlighting ligaments and bones under the flesh. The man above has a button on his neck, which is pressed causing him to freeze and stare at the ceiling while his eyes roll back and he reboots: Not he is a human but an android. Meanwhile, the eggs begin to hatch: a creature tries to cling to the face of one of the team, but he manages to push it away. The crew tries to close the doors behind them to escape but one of the aliens manages to get through and begins chasing them. Finally, the inevitable: One of the crew members gets hit in the face by one of the facehuggers.

In another clip, a character doesn’t feel well and clutches his chest. The device is used to see through the body, showing the alien trying to climb out of the ribs. The character collapses, foams at the mouth, convulses, and accidentally sets the ship in motion before the alien explodes from his chest. It’s a bloody and terrifying moment, reaching its climax when the out-of-control ship begins to move uncontrollably until it crashes into a larger ship.

Alien: Romulus will be forbidden to minors, the release date is set for August 14th in Italy.
