PADUA – Among those who have non-contractual workers, some have a shortage hygiene in kitchens and those who sell alcohol without being able to do so, in the Portello premises and in the kiosks of the Naviglio, one in two is irregular.

The final report of the checks carried out by the Carabinieri speaks Nas he was born in Nil (together with the soldiers of Battalion of Venice-Mestre), the local police and theCustoms agency they scored on Friday evening where the heart of the summer nightlife made in Padua beats: nine illegal venues out of eighteen checked, that is, three bars in front of the Porta Portello and fifteen kiosks of the summer event.
The bill? Administrative sanctions amounting to thousands of euros and suspension of two licenses for the same number of stalls.

THE SIEVE
At aperitif time, the soldiers from the Anti-adulteration and Labor Inspectorate units, together with the Customs agents, showed up on the Naviglio, sifting through every single activity and checking licenses, contracts, authorizations and goods sold.
Two kiosks were closed by decision of the Nil, with suspension of the license until they comply: the first because the risk assessment document for the workers was missing and the second because it had an employee in the black, the only case among all the public businesses present at the event, which turns 10 this summer.
Three other public establishments (two kiosks in the Naviglio and one of the premises in the Portello) ended up at the center of the NAS investigations as spritzes, beers, wine and spirits were served to customers despite the fact that the sales authorization only provided for the approval for the administration of food and non-alcoholic drinks: these establishments were fined.

EXCISE TAXES
The work of the Customs inspectors was concentrated, however, on the payment of taxes for alcohol sold. In total, four other summer outlets in the city center ended up on the investigators’ notebook for having sold liquor without having paid the State Monopoly the amount necessary for their marketing. The sanctions contested on Friday evening will be notified in the next few days.

OTHER DEFICIENCIES
Almost all of the nine non-compliant businesses did not pass the NAS control in terms of health hygiene, lack of compliance with the HACCP, i.e. the food safety protocol.
Untraceable food was also found in the pantries of some premises and this too will be another aspect for the final bill of fines.

CUSTOMERS
During the operation, numerous customers were identified who were at the counters or sitting at the nightlife tables in the late afternoon and evening of Friday.
The widespread control by the Carabinieri and the local police (“which allowed us to obtain excellent preventive results”, we read in a note released by the Padua Company) made it possible to stop, within a public establishment, a 41-year-old originally from Tunisia, homeless in Italy, recipient of urban Daspo signed by the Police Headquarters with the specific ban on frequenting public establishments.
For this reason the North African – who already had more than one precedent known to the police of the city of Saint – was then reported to the prosecutor’s office for not having respected the order imposed by the Daspo.
