For Henry Cavill, obviously, this is not a pleasant “popularity” and the Argylle star told how those mustache almost ruined his career! But let’s take a small step back: at the time of filming the additional scenes of Justice League, in fact, Cavill was filming Mission: Impossible – Fallout and his character from the spy saga wore a moustache. For Paramount Pictures, allowing the actor to shave his mustache to return to the set of Joss Whedon’s film meant suffering unparalleled economic damage.
“I’ve never seen the movie, but I can tell you how much it would have cost for Mission: Impossible to digitally add Henry Cavill’s mustache – said Christopher McQuarrie – our proposal was ‘Here’s what we’ll do: give us the $3 million and we’ll close, and that will give Henry Cavill time to grow back his moustache.”“. Paramount’s subsequent refusal clarified the situation and so the actor’s mustache was digitally removed with an unpleasant effect.
