The story is loosely based on the comic miniseries of the same title The Secret Servicepublished between 2012 and 2013 by Mark Millarwith illustrations by the well-known Dave Gibbonsfamous for his work on Watchmen. The desire to make a film from Millar’s series was born from a conversation he had with director Vaughn. In fact, the two wanted to make a spy film that would contrast with the seriousness too often found in such works. With Kingsman, instead, the intention was to create a transgressive and fun work.

With the actors from the first film returning to their respective roles, and new performers playing new characters, Kingsman – The Golden Circle it established itself as a major success. Against a budget of around 104 million dollars, the film managed to gross 410 million dollars overall. This result pushed Fox to put a third chapter into production, expected in theaters soon. One year after saving the world by foiling Richmond Valentine’s plan, Eggsy Unwin he is now for all intents and purposes a member of the Kingsman agency under the code name of Galahad. His love life also enjoys a particularly happy moment, as he is engaged in a relationship with Tilde, Princess of Sweden, known following a rescue. The young man’s tranquility, however, is abruptly interrupted by the attack of Charlie Hesketh, a former candidate for the agency who was seriously impaired. The latter, seeking revenge, manages to sneak into the Kingsman servers, stealing precious information. These are then resold by him to the wicked woman Poppy Adams.

This is the leader of the largest drug cartel in the world, called “The Golden Circle”. To make sure she has no obstacles from them, the woman has several missiles launched on the headquarters, destroying everything and also killing several agents. Having survived the explosion, Eggsy manages to escape together with Merlin and the two activate the emergency protocol known as “Doomsday”. To save the world again, the Kingsman will need allies this time, and they will find these in their American counterpart: the Statesman. With the agents Champagne, Whiskey, Tequila And Ginger they will be able to organize themselves to launch a response attack on the evil drug trafficker.

The cast of the film

To bring the sequel to life, the producers made use of the return of the actors who made the first film successful. The first among these is Taron Edgerton, who has become a real star, reprising his role as Eggsy here. Once again, the actor underwent months of physical training to be able to personally interpret the most complex scenes of the film.
