The government decided on the proposal of the Minister for Civil Protection Nello Musumeci, the allocation of 88 million and 500 thousand euros to the Tuscany region, for the flood that hit those territories in the autumn of 2023.
“The resource – declares Minister Musumeci – is aimed at realizing or reimbursing the expenses incurred for rescue and assistance to the population and the restoration of the functionality of public services and strategic network infrastructures, waste and rubble management, after the exceptional meteorological events. Between last February and April we received a survey of further needs from the Region’s emergency commissioner. After inspections by the technicians of our department, the amount deemed necessary was defined.”
The resources approved today by the government follow the previous overall allocation of 33 million and 700 thousand euros disbursed in 2023, drawing from the National Emergency Fund, and are added to the allocation of 66 million, already made with the Superbonus decree-law of March last.
