The rumors about the plot of Fantastic 4 continue to point towards a very important role of Franklin Richardsfirstborn of Reed Richards and Susan Storm, but a new rumor would also seem to confirm the possible connection with Galactus.
If you remember, a few days ago we told you about a possible link between the casting of Mr Fantastic and Galactus, with the former played by Pedro Pascal and the latter paired with other Latin actors such as Antonio Banderas and Javier Bardem: it could be a detail entirely It’s anything but secondary, given that in a comic book version Galactus is none other than the adult version of Franklin Richardswhich means that the choice of two Latino actors in the roles of the superhero and the villain could suggest this kinship bond.
In this regard, the well-known portal Murphy’s Multiverse has confirmed that Fantastic Four will actually be set in an alternate universe to the MCUa reality belonging to the Multiverse that “has yet to be explored in the Marvel Studios films” and which, as anticipated by the new poster dedicated to the Human Torch, should show a retro-futurist 1960s Earth. The site also explains that “some rumors have reached our ears that will there be some connection between Franklin Richards and Galactus in the film“.
The general assumption now is that Fantastic Four will be inspired by Earth X from Marvel comics, a reality in which Shalla-Bal becomes the Silver Surfer and in which Franklin agrees to be transformed into Galactus by the High Evolutionary to restore balance to the universe and protect it from the Celestials. If confirmed, then Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four will be a decidedly different film from everything fans have seen before on the big screen.
The film, we remember, is expected for July 25, 2025, with filming starting this summer.
