Florence Pugh published a video in which he takes us on the set of Thunderboltsthe new Marvel movies which will see the return of Yelena Belova’s character as part of a team of antiheroes secretly managed by the American government.
Destined to “drop a bomb” on viewers, Thunderbolts will tell the birth of a group which includes, in addition to Belova, numerous characters appeared in recent years within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Among these there are Sebastian Stan’s Bucky BarnesHannah John-Kamen’s Ghost, Wyatt Russel’s US Agent, Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, David Harbour’s Red Guardian, Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster and Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus Ross.
Marvel’s Suicide Squad?
The Thunderbolts were born on the pages of Marvel comics relatively recently, in the late 90s, as response to DC’s Suicide Squad: the concept behind both groups is very similar and we will have to see how these bonds will be handled in the film version.
Beyond this, the production of the film encountered some obstacles and slowdowns which led to the departure of certain actors, such as Steven Yeun who was initially cast to play the very powerful character of Sentrylater replaced by Lewis Pullman.
