presented the Dolce and Gabbana fashion show in Puglia

Two Apulian provinces (Bari and Brindisi), three cities (Alberobello, Ostuni, Fasano), 500 guests from 36 countries around the world, over 65 international newspapers. Involved 150 commercial activities and, including suppliers, performers, models, security personnel and various operators, more than 2000 people. But also 7800 overnight stays in different hotels. These are just a few numbers of the most eagerly awaited event of the last few hours: the fashion show of Dolce&Gabbana in Puglia.

«Puglia is a land of great inspiration»

«In 2012 Dolce and Gabbana had the intuition to start again from Italy with theirs Grand Tour. D&> is an all-Italian brand and Puglia is therefore part of its DNA», he says Fedele Usaigeneral manager of Dolce&Gabbana.
It is the heel of Italy that is also the focus of Alfonso Dolce, managing director of Dolce&Gabbana and brother of the designer Domenico, who, during the press conference to present the event, added: «Puglia has been a land of great inspiration. There is a deep story inside. There are not only the leaves of the olive trees, but above all the roots. Thus, through this event, Puglia and a beloved piece of craftsmanship will be told».
And again: «We are very happy to bring Haute Couture to Puglia, a project which is the result of a long process and which represents the highest expression of the creativity of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. For us it is important that the project does not translate into a list of more or less worldly appointments, but to convey the message that we have been trying to convey for eleven years now, in Italy and in the world: with Haute Couture we seek experience at all round celebrating Italian excellence, made in Italy. And in this case, the made in Puglia».

The documentary with Sky

Puglia will also be the theme at the center of the making of a documentary, which will be broadcast on Sky Art. In this work the heel of Italy will be told by the voice of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, together with the Oscar winner (and now Apulian by adoption) Helen Mirren. «The spotlights that Dolce&Gabbana will bring to Puglia will remain on for a long time, well beyond the five evening events. Together with Dolce&Gabbana, as the Pugliapromozione Regional Tourism Agency, we will be together to create an episode dedicated to Puglia with a new format, which will be broadcast on Sky Arte. The protagonists will be the stylists Dolce and Gabbana and Helen Mirren, who for years has chosen Puglia as her elective home», concludes Luca Scandale, general manager of Pugliapromozione.
