Terrible tragedy on the road at dawn on Christmas Eve: two 25-year-olds died and two others were injured in an accident that took place yesterday, Saturday 24 December. One of the two is Tobia de Eccher, son of Andrea of the Friulian corporate giant, the other is a friend of his, Riccardo Pastrello. The crash occurred at the pedestrian overpass of via della Libertà, in Mestre. From the first information, the driver would have lost control and the Renault Clio in which they were traveling ended up against a wall, slamming violently. There are no other vehicles involved.
The rescue
The firefighters arrived at the scene, who secured the scene of the accident and extracted the people from the passenger compartment of the car. One of the passengers, Tobia de Eccher, was initially stabilized but died shortly afterwards. The other died instantly, as confirmed by the medical staff. The driver and another passenger, a girl, were injured. The health personnel took care of them and transferred to the hospital for treatment, but they would not be in serious condition. To carry out the investigations, the patrols of the local police and the traffic police intervened, who carried out the findings and subjected the driver to the alcohol test. It seems that at the time of the accident the four were returning from an evening spent in a club in Marghera. The rescue operations ended with the first light of dawn.
