TRAFFIC – Measures in force between 4 and 14 July 2024 in Ferrara

On the occasion of the shows of the “Ferrara Summer Festival 2024” scheduled in Piazza Ariostea in Ferrara a series of evenings between the 4th and the 14th July 2024, some provisions will be in force to modify traffic in the adjacent streets. The measures were adopted, with an order issued by the Terre Estensi Local Police Force, for reasons of road and public safety, also in line with the indications of the Ferrara Police Headquarters, and to allow the safe inflow and outflow of spectators, as well as the setting up and dismantling of the necessary structures.

The traffic ordinance provides for a series of measures valid continuously from 4 to 14 July 2024 and another series of measures in force only on the dates of the shows. For this last type of measures the The time slot for possible application is from 8am to 5am the following day, but the times of actual validity will be established from time to time based on the indications of the Ferrara Police Headquarters, in relation to the expected influx of spectators (and their possible arrival well in advance of the show time), as well as to the needs related to the organization of the events and the dismantling of the structures at the end of the show, in anticipation of the next event.

In particular, the entry into force of the transit ban measures in Corso Porta Mare (from Corso Ercole I d’Este to Via Folegno) will be made effective only by the presence of Terre Estensi Local Police officers on the road, who will direct vehicles to adoption of alternative routes.

>> These are the main measures planned continuously from 4 to 14 July 2024:

Piazza Ariostea, in the eastern carriageways (near the reservoir): establishment of a ban on stopping and circulation, except for production vehicles and those necessary for the assembly and dismantling of the structures.

Piazza Ariostea, in the South and West carriageways: Establishment of a ban on stopping except for organization vehicles close to the Piazza Ariostea area.

Corso Porta Mare, taken from Via Montebello to Via Ercole I d’Este: establishment of a ban on stopping on both sides, except for production vehicles and those necessary for the assembly and disassembly operations of the structures.

Via Cortile, Via del Gregorio and Via Fossato, Via Borso and Via Palestro (from Piazza Ariostea to Via Mascheraio): Establishment of a ban on stopping, except for the organization’s vehicles, close to the Piazza Ariostea area.

>> These are the measures foreseen on the days of the shows: 4 – 5 – 6 – 7 – 8 – 11 – 12 – 13 – 14 JULY 2024 INSIDE THE TIME SLOT FROM 8 AM TO 5 AM THE NEXT DAY (the times of actual validity will be established from time to time):

Corso Biagio Rossetti, intersection with Corso Ercole I d’Este: institution of mandatory left turn;

Corso Porta Mare, from Corso Ercole I Este to Via Folegno: establishment of the transit prohibited for all vehicles including bicycles;

Corso Porta Mare from Via Montebello to Via Folegno: establishment of the transit prohibited for all vehicles except those of residents of Via Folegno and Via delle Erbe and production vehicles;

Herb Street establishment of a closed-end road and establishment of two-way traffic;

Folegno Street establishment of two-way traffic;

Via Montebello Corso Porta Mare intersection: establishment of mandatory right and right directions;

Vineyard Street: Corso Porta Mare intersection: mandatory left turn introduced;

Via Mascheraio, section from Via del Gregorio to Via Palestro: reversal of the current one-way system of travel and establishment of one-way traffic in the direction of Via Palestro. establishment of the mandatory left turn at the intersection with Via Palestro (any stopping bans will need to be assessed)

Mask Street, taken from Via Borgoleoni to Via Palestro: reversal of the current one-way traffic and establishment of one-way traffic towards via Palestro. Establishment of mandatory right turn at the intersection with via Palestro.

Via Borgo dei Leoni, stretch from Via Mascheraio to Corso Porta Mare: institution of No passing residents admitted and two-way traffic introduced.

Via Borgo dei Leoni (direction of travel towards Corso Porta Mare) at the intersection with via Mascheraio: mandatory direction to the right

Voltino Alley: establishment of a transit ban.

Courtyard Street: institution of traffic ban only residents are allowed to park vehicles in private areas; Establishment of two-way traffic, dead-end road with access and exit from Via Montebello.

Gregorio Street and Fossato Street: institution No passing Only residents are allowed to park vehicles in a private area. Establishment of two-way traffic, dead-end road with access and exit from Via Mascheraio.

Via Palestro, taken from Piazza Ariostea to Via Mascheraio: establishment of the No passing.

Corso Porta Mare stretch between Via Mortara and Via Montebello: on the semi-carriageway in the direction of Via Montebello, establishment of a dead-end road, access permitted up to Via delle Vigne.

They will be possible diversions of public transport lines in the streets affected by the measures.
