The month of June ends with a series of successes for the athletes of our club. The last race held was the 14th edition of the Snail marathon in Valmontone. Very demanding 10 km race with a series of ups and downs to be tackled wisely, otherwise you will lose energy in the final stages with an uphill finish line. Our very strong runners out of 466 who reached the finish line were rewarded as follows: Richard Fox 2nd overall man, Pamela Gabrielli 2nd woman overall, Emanuele Battaglia 8th overall and 1st in the SM35 category, Gianluigi Bianchini 25th and 4th in the SM45 category, Claudio Cordella 158° e Filomena Mossucca 324^.
These successes are in addition to those of the previous races in which our Company took part in the month of June. On the 9th in Priverno the San Martino Trail, 13 exhausting km with a height difference of 258 metres. At the start, together with the 230 athletes, also the very strong one Chiara Nepoti who wanted to test himself to test his physical and mental preparation. Chiara surprised everyone and even herself by climbing onto the podium with an excellent 5th place overall among the women.
The following Sunday it was the turn of the race in Pomezia “In the Footsteps of Aeneas”, 9 km in which a total of 193 runners took part. Our Society showed up en masse with 15 athletes. The very strong one Pamela Gabrielli he won the women’s race by a landslide, coming 1st overall, he was the fastest among the men Richard Fox7th overall and 3rd in category, followed by Emanuel Battle 9th overall and 2nd in category, Christian Margiotta 15th and on the podium as 2nd in the category, as Gianluigi Bianchini 3rd in category and 16th overall. To follow Claudio Cordella 69°, Henry Justinian 78°, Raffaele De Santis 90°, John Flower 108°, Rocco Di Fede 124°, Filomena Mossucca 147^, Happy Sibilla 148°, Fabrizio Baione 151°, Simona Giordani 152^, Max D’Agostino 154°.
June 21st once again Chiara Nepoti he wanted to experience new athletic emotions by taking part in the Rome Italian Individual Master Track Championshipsin the distance of 5000 meters where she came 6th in the final.
The next day the “Vallelunga Race” in its 15th edition. Departure in the afternoon in the historic center of Campagnano di Roma, then reaching and crossing the Vallelunga racetrack and the Via Francigena until returning to the town for a total of 9.9 km. The 249 athletes had to face heat and a challenging route before savoring the emotion of crossing the finish line as it was for our Pamela Gabrielli woman with excellent athletic and human qualities, who came first overall. Also Emanuel Battle he reached the podium, 3rd place in the category and 22nd overall.
On the same day but this time in Pontinia Max D’Agostino who is recovering his great form came 98th out of 131 “Run to Marino” at 10 km.
