The first foreigner
In the meantime, yesterday Vuelle made official the first of the three players who have already signed in recent days – the other two are Matteo Imbrò and Danilo Petrovic – we are clearly talking about the American point guard Khalil Ahmad. «Carpegna Prosciutto Basket Pesaro announces that it has signed an agreement with Khalil Ahmad. Ahmad was once again a protagonist, winning the title of best defender of the year. In the summer of 2023 he returned to Europe: he faced and won the Belgian-Dutch championship wearing the Filou Ostenda jersey, with former VL Sam Van Rossom as his teammate. He averaged 23 minutes and 17 points per match, with 38.2% from three and 81.6% from free throws. He also played in the Champions League: in nine matches he averaged 22.6 minutes per game and 12.8 points. Offensive danger, intensity and excellent knowledge of European basketball are the characteristics that convinced the red and white technical staff to focus on him.
Finally yesterday Verona announced the exit from the contract with the American Kamari Murphy, while Rimini confirmed the playmaker Giovanni Tomassini who grew up in the red and white youth team of Vuelle.
