ROSE GARDEN. She is originally from Rosetta, and is known for her time in Forza Italia, the manager of Fincantieri Sabrina DiStefano 40 years old, who ended up in the eye of the storm for having insulted a Roman taxi driver who didn’t want to “inflate” her receipt. Rosetana, who has been resident in Rome for years, was fired by Fincantieri’s top management after the viral video that appeared on the “Welcome to favelas” website and was published by the insulted taxi driver.
In the video, the woman is seen, before getting out of the taxi, asking the taxi driver for an inflated receipt (of 20 euros instead of 10), justifying it with the fact that the company would reimburse her a greater sum. When the taxi driver refused to inflate the tax document, Di Stefano let herself go with a series of insults towards the driver. However, the entire conversation was recorded by the small on-board cameras and therefore became public.
Di Stefano, a graduate of Bocconi, was for several years the coordinator of the Abruzzo regional movement “L’esercito di Silvio”, a group of Forza Italia activists alongside the party leader Silvio Berlusconi.(l.v.)
