It has now become a fixed service, with great satisfaction from tourists and also from the Apuans who want to spend a quiet evening without having to think about traffic or parking. But not only fixed by tradition, but also in practice. From this year ‘Lungomare by night’ becomes structural since it becomes part of the local public transport service having been included among the services included in the so-called strong lot of Autolinee toscane. At the inauguration of the service, which from 3 July to 31 August will be available from Wednesday to Saturday (also Ferragosto, then 1, 6, 7 and 8 September), in addition to the top management of the company, also the Councilor for Tourism for Carrara, Lara Benfatto. “It is a consolidated initiative in our territory also from the point of view of the approach to a type of sustainable tourism that we are promoting at the area level: it is an important tourist offer but it is also a safety for the many young people who use it”.
Eleonora Petracci for the Municipality of Montignoso, as well as provincial councilor, also says she is satisfied: “The other evening we held the inauguration which has now become a fixed appointment for the administrators of the municipalities involved in the night bus. It is certainly a moment of promotion, but also of sharing between the Apuan Riviera and Versilia which, starting from the Lungomare by night, must set up joint projects. Last year’s numbers were surprising and therefore it is a service to be supported and strengthened”. Massa’s tourism councilor, Giorgia Garau, also shares the same opinion: “A very important service for tourism, for a bus that leaves from Marina di Carrara to Torre del Lago and vice versa, which lasts from 6pm to 6am, a fundamental service to connect the coast. Campers have asked for this service because they can move without having to move their vehicle and they can fully enjoy our coast, which is also known for its nightclubs full. The kids can have fun and have a safe vehicle that takes them to their destination. The connection is guaranteed by two lines, LBN1 which connects Forte dei Marmi to Torre del Lago and vice versa and LBN2 which connects Marina di Carrara to Forte dei Marmi and vice versa.
