McDermott he’s ready to leave Varese Basketball.
The red and white captain is ready to settle in Türkiye, precisely at Pinar Karsiyaka.
The Turkish club will play in the next one Basketball Champions League, with McDermott who will free himself from Varese by taking advantage of the option in his contract, valid until tomorrow, Sunday 30 June, to leave Varese, in exchange for a buyout that should be around $70,000.
McDermott thus, after having reasoned for days with Varese about a possible permanence, with the confidence that was growing in the red and white club that they could keep him (even in the face of a lack of real offers for the Indiana winger other than that of Kazan a couple of weeks ago), decided to leave the red and whites at the buzzer of the escape deadline. A choice also born from Varese’s inability to participate in the FIBA Europe Cupwith the player having always put playing in a European cup as an important condition for his permanence.
