“It is now clear to everyone that the bureaucratic constraint of the commercial sales seasons, in the third millennium, in an era in which the commercial tertiary sector has undergone notable changes, with liberalizations that were unthinkable until some time ago, but also for the he advent of the digital age no longer has any reason to exist – he states Gennaro New Year’s Evepresident of the Comitato Valori collinari -. Instead, also this year, with different calendars for the different Italian regions, the summer sales start throughout the national territory.
In Campania – Capodanno emphasizes -, following the resolution of the Regional Council n. 279 of 06/06/2024, the dates of the 2024 summer sales have been set.
Consequently, the end-of-season summer sales for the year 2024 in Campania will begin on Saturday, July 6, 2024. The resolution, in addition to establishing that the maximum duration of the summer sales cannot exceed 60 days, reiterates that promotional sales, as provided for by art. 44 of LR 7/2020, cannot be carried out by the trader in the thirty days preceding July 6.
Once again therefore – underlines New Year – we urge the Campania Region to finally introduce a law that liberalizes the periods in which individual commercial operators can autonomously determine how much discount to apply on the goods sold, without being subject to constraints which, moreover, they can easily be circumvented with all kinds of expedients. A law, in truth, that has been awaited and requested for some time but which to date has not yet been passed.
And in the meantime – concludes Capodanno -, on the eve of the start of the summer sales, the usual invitations to buyers to pay close attention are renewed, making, where possible, a comparison with the prices of the same items observed in the previous days. A “normal” discount should, in a first phase, average around 30%. In any case, it is always a good idea to check the goods carefully when purchasing, to verify that they are not defective items or warehouse stock”.
