29 June 2024 – Ravenna – The Propeller Club of Ravenna awarded the annual Master of Shipping award yesterday evening in memory of the journalist Lorenzo Tazzari, who passed away prematurely. His son Matteo collected it. Appointment, as per tradition, at the Grand Hotel Da Vinci in Cesenatico.

It was the president of the Club, Simone Bassi, who read the motivation: “Lorenzo Tazzari was born in Voltana on 24 September 1957. He passed away on 14 July 2023, at just 65 years old, leaving an unbridgeable void in the Ravenna port system of which he was the voice. A long and prestigious journalistic career, at Resto del Carlino, first in Pesaro then in Forlì and finally in Ravenna after having written for the Gazzetta di Modena, Panorama, l’Espresso, Il Mondo and il Messaggero.
A profound connoisseur of his city, passionate about local economic and political issues, his greatest interest is in the Port of Ravenna and its operators. In February 1995 he contributed to the birth of the Giornale del Porto.
We will never forget the Great Master of Ravenna port journalism who whizzes through the city streets on a bicycle.”
