Rome, 29 June 2024 – Starting from Monday 1st July, until Sunday 15th September, all young people between the ages of 14 and 29, resident in the municipalities of Lazio and registered with the Lazio Youth Card, will be able to travel for free on Cotral and Trenitalia vehicles in second class within the borders of the Lazio region.
With the resolution approved by the Lazio regional council on the proposal of the councilor for Mobility and Transport, Fabrizio Ghera, in agreement with the councilor for Culture, Equal Opportunities and youth and family policies, Simona Baldassarre, the initiative “Lazio on free tour 2024″ which this year is ahead of schedule compared to last season, coming into force as early as Monday 1st July 2024.
“This year the initiative starts 20 days earlier than in 2023 – declare the councilors Ghera and Baldassarre – a sign of great attention that we want to give to our kids to encourage them to use public transport by rail and road and to give them the opportunity to discover all the beauties of our region without spending money on travel”.
Once activated, “Lazio on Tour Gratis” will give young people between the ages of 14 and 29 the opportunity to use the free transport service for 30 consecutive days. We remind you that this formula is aimed at holders of the LAZIO YOUth CARD and is part of the initiatives of the Lazio Region to encourage the use of regional public transport and for the promotion and valorisation of the territory through the use of local public transport services. regional road and rail services in second class, managed respectively by Cotral SpA and Trenitalia SpA within territorial borders.
