A large solidarity network has been activated throughout the world to support Vittoria Bua. The woman who lives in Castelvetrano with her husband Roberto and her children Federico (17 years old) and Maisie (5 years old), has been fighting the battle of her life these years. When she was 42 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since that time she has undergone a mastectomy, numerous biopsies, hospital visits, scans and numerous medical procedures which she has always faced with great courage, fueled by the immense love that only a mother can have. Despite treatment, the terrible disease has spread to various organs and bones, causing multiple injuries and a fractured pelvisVittoria is now 46 years old, has stage 4 metastatic cancer and wears a brace to prevent further damage and requires a specialized bed to manage her condition and relieve her pain.

Vittaria was an amazing English teacher, in his career he has followed thousands of students. His enthusiasm and professionalism have always been unparalleled. Even during cycles of intensive chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy she remained committed to her work and continued to be committed to her family. Today, however, the illness prevents her from moving. For this reason a very dear friend of hers, Gemma Fletcherhas launched a fundraiser to support Vittoria and her family. Donations are coming in from all over the world. The money raised will help Vittoria live as long as possible to see her children grow up and be by Roberto’s side. To achieve this goal, she is looking into advanced cancer treatments. The disease has become overwhelming. The support of the community has become indispensable.
