Known association of the Madonna dell’Arco of Aversa suspended.
The communication comes directly from the Rector of the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell’Arco located in Sant’Anastasia (Na).
To the association of Aversa – which falls under the aegis of the Parish Church of Saints James and Philip – they come “challenge – we read in the letter – several infringements of the Regulations of the Statute of the AMDA (Madonna dell’Arco Association), after several warnings received from the area delegates which unfortunately went unheeded”.
“After carefully evaluating the behavior of all associations during the period after Easter, the following is hereby established: Suspension of the president for 12 months until 30 June 2025; Permitted Activities: Pilgrimage Monday In Albis, Peregrinatio Mariae in neighboring towns, Patronal Feast and Corpus Domini; Activities Not Allowed: Begging, Functions or Participation in AMDA Commissions. If this provision is not respected we will be forced to close the Association“.
The Aversa association complains that they have never received any type of warning and that they have always respected the AMDA Regulations.
Therefore – even if the communication does not indicate terms and procedures for appealing the provision – they announce demonstrations and legal actions.
