Throwing the glass has in fact become a habitual practice for many fans and UEFA could not ignore it. Croatia paid the price in the qualifying clash with Italy.
Croatia fined
On several occasions the red and white fans threw objects onto the pitch, forcing the federation to pay a fine of 45 thousand euros. To these will also be added the 30 thousand due to the lighting of rockets and another 30 thousand euros for “inappropriate behavior by the fans”, for a total amount of 105 thousand euro fine.
