For de Santis, this is a return to Molfetta Calcio, having already played with the red and whites in the 2018/19 Eccellenza season, making 14 appearances. Here are his first statements as a red and white player, from which his Molfetta character immediately shines through: “I am very happy to wear the Molfetta Calcio shirt. I already played for Molfetta in Borgorosso but playing in front of the fans is something else. I had other requests but I couldn’t say no to Molfetta Calcio, in fact I was just waiting for the call from the management. I’ve been a Molfetta fan since I was a child so for me, it will be an honor to play for Molfetta Calcio.”
On his characteristics: “I’m an atypical goalkeeper, not very tall in a role where everyone looks at height and perhaps less at substance. I don’t like to talk about myself so much, but to demonstrate my value on the pitch, with facts, match after match”.
On the next championship: “We are preparing for a very long championship, at the moment we do not yet know exactly the rosters of the other teams but the aim is to do well and get some nice satisfaction”.
