Enchantment and standing ovation for the performances of My Dance (PHOTO

Manfredonia. The 2024 edition of “EXPRESSION OF DANCE” took place on June 25, 26 and 27 at the Teatro comunale “Lucio Dalla” in Manfredonia, the now traditional dance event curated every year by the My Dance performing arts school in Manfredonia. EXPRESION OF DANCE in theory should be a simple end-of-year academic show, but in reality for many years, it has represented a concentration of pure art and entertainment, capable of surprising and gluing many spectators to the seats of the theater, this year too there were more than two thousand for the three dates on the calendar.

Magnificent stage costumes, breathtaking scenography and the professionalism and creativity of teachers and choreographers have merged to create the ideal base in which to bring together the ability and talent of hundreds of dancers.an explosive mix created to gratify the eyes and fill the hearts of the many spectators who attend these shows every year.

In this edition, My Dance, under the tireless and visionary guidance of its artistic director Rita Vaccarella, brought on stage for the youngest students (from four years of age) the unpublished works “Once upon a time there was a witch… ..” with classical and contemporary dance choreographies and “Moulin Rouge” with choreographic moments inspired by modern and urban styles, while the older students were the protagonists of the works “Geisha” (unpublished) with classical and contemporary dance choreographies and “Chicago” based on the iconic Hollywood masterpiece, with modern jazz choreography, and Urban.

All the works were conceived and created by the school’s teaching staffwho working in synergy with the best artistic expressions of our territory (papier-mâché masters, tailors, writers, lighting and sound technicians and much more…) have given life to an unparalleled concentration of emotions.

We dreamed, all becoming a little like children again with “Once upon a time there was a witch….”, we were moved by the poignant and disenchanted story of “Geisha” and finally, we were overwhelmed by the glittering magic created by the sequins and sequins of “Moulin Rouge” and “Chicago”.

Once again, and as always for 14 years now, My Dance has given our city three days of 360-degree art, which will remain well imprinted in the eyes of those who have been able to witness it for a long time, at least until to June 2025, when, and we are certain of this, new equally incredible works will amaze us.
