BARI– The Locus Festival opens its curtain: the charge of over 15 thousand spectators stormed the Fiera del Levante area in Bari for the eagerly awaited Calcutta concert, the opening event of the 20th Locus Festival. A highly anticipated show that attracted fans of the Roman singer from all over Puglia.
The evening started with a bang, Calcutta opened the concert with Coro and then immediately moved on to the hit Due minuti. A ping pong match continues between new and old hits. Also on the lineup are Cosa mi manchi a fare, Controtempo, Orgasmo, Milano, Limonata a wonderful version of Le barche (acoustic piano version), the inevitable Gaetano and Oroscopo. Finally, the Roman singer-songwriter made his 15 thousand fans go wild with the notes of Paracetamolo, Pesto and Tutti.
The Fair area was taken by storm since the afternoon by those who couldn’t give up being on stage: fans of all ages took part in the concert, including a two-month-old baby girl among them who attracted the attention of the varied audience in the company of their parents. The newborn spent a seraphic evening with a pair of headphones on her ears in the arms of her mum and dad, rocking out to the tunes of Calcutta. There’s no doubt about it, if these are the conditions the little one will grow up on bread and good music. A start with a bang for the Locus Festival. Tonight on the stage of the fair seafront, at the roundabout in via Paolo Pinto, the duo Salmo-Noyz Narcos will perform for the second live show of the Locus. Today the Festival will also see the concert of the Irish musician Glen Hansard at the Petruzzelli and, tomorrow evening, again on the seafront, the performance of the historic English band Simple Minds.
The rich weekend of concerts in Bari doesn’t stop here. Also today and tomorrow the third and fourth appointment will be held at the San Nicola stadium with Vasco Rossi, fresh from two sold outs last Tuesday and Wednesday and ready to set the city on fire as part of his stadium tour.
