During an interview granted to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, Marek Hamsik he spoke about his Slovakia, focusing on the technical commissioner Francesco Calzona, who also led Napoli at the end of last season: “I like everything – the former footballer began -. Just everything. He knows how to manage the group very well, he is good at transmitting to the team the concepts that are fundamental for him. He is a great motivator, but above all he is exceptional from a tactical point of view. Calzona is a phenomenon at preparing the match.”
The former Napoli midfielder then analyzed the fact that in the Slovak national team there is a hard core of players who have played, or who still play, in the Italian championship, precious for the growth of the players: Certainly yes, and it also helped us the Federation’s choice to rely on an Italian coach. It was an excellent decision, which made us grow. And we are seeing the results.
