The drama, which the police are now investigating, occurred late this afternoon in via Cascina Spelta.
The rush to the hospital
The child fell from the balcony of one of the two twin buildings in this area of Pavia, near Viale Lodi. The little boy, who fell into the internal courtyard, was immediately rescued and rushed to San Matteo, where he was transferred to the ward Resuscitation. The police intervened on the spot. Forensic technicians were also present. Investigators’ inspections are currently underway.
The child is in very serious condition
The condition of the 18-month-old child, of Congolese origins, who fell from the fourth floor of a building in via Cascina Spelta, on the outskirts of Pavia, remains very serious today. The child, who is hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the San Matteo Polyclinic, suffered a head injury, a lung injury and various fractures. The causes of the fall remain to be clarified.
