Former Castellanza Minigolf, Signs of Life: Weeds Away. New Destination in Sight?

CASTELLANZA – Something is moving in the disused areas of Castellanza and not only in those under municipal jurisdiction, which will be dealt with by the new external councilor Vanni Mirandola: also l’ex WWW Summer Cafèthe open-air structure at number 22 of Viale Borri, which years ago it hosted minigolf and one of Yucca’s summers, may soon come back to life, though we still don’t know what destination of use. In fact, in recent days the thick jungle of weeds which had invaded the entire area enclosed behind the gate on which the iconic Bacardi bat is still visible, it has been thinned outso much so as to make it again visible – and potentially accessible – internal driveways.

I rumors

According to the rumors that have been circulating for a few weeks, the ownership of the land is therefore being put back into action characteristic location that remained abandoned for years and a further portion of the city territory that overlooks Viale Borri – already affected by the impressive construction site of the commercial centre at the former Textile Exhibition – could be redeveloped in a short time. All that remains is to wait for further steps.

Goodbye to the lampredotto kiosk

A few steps from the former minigolf course stands the ruin of the Lampredotto kiosk “Il Baracchino”, which ceased operations about five years ago and is now in truly pitiful conditions. Also This now dilapidated structure could be demolished in the coming weeks, giving back space on the avenue’s embankment.
